Project Prevention Graduation

Did you know that graduation night can be the deadliest night in a teenager’s life? Project Grad responds to several unfortunate facts which are borne out by local and national statistics – teenagers are involved in more than one-third of alcohol - related auto accidents and more teenage accidents and fatalities occur on high school graduation night than at any other time of the year.

This all night party is for the graduates of Desert Mountain High School only. It is a drug-free, alcohol-free event to keep our children safe on this important night. The party is great fun and it is the last time the Class will spend together before they fly the coop!

This event is funded entirely by the generosity of you, the parents, the community and local businesses. It also takes an army of volunteers to organize, plan, fund raise, publicize, decorate, take down and chaperone. It is very helpful if parents of underclassmen volunteer, since senior parents are busy with graduation that day.

To become a part of this night or to volunteer, check the forms page for all the necessary forms.

Parent Network Safe Home Program

Several high schools in SUSD have collaborated to invite parents to sign the voluntary Safe Home Pledge. This is a way for parents to help prevent alcohol and substance abuse amongst our teens.  It is also a reminder of our legal responsibilities as adults when teens are at our homes. Be aware and committed to providing a safe and healthy environment where our kids can have fun. You can find the Safe Home Pledge signup form on the forms page.
